Advice for Marketers & Brand Owners
- If you fail the Mobile-Friendly Test, you don’t exist. A responsive website is the absolute baseline for all mobile seo.
- “Pinch-to-zoom” is a death sentence. If users can’t read your site, they will bounce in seconds.
- Prioritize “action” buttons. Mobile users are on the go. Your “Click-to-Call” and “Get Directions” buttons should be the easiest things to find.
- Never use a PDF for a menu. It’s bad for users and bad for SEO.
Extra Factors That Made It Work
- The Responsive Design Implementation was the single biggest factor.
- The new Mobile UI/UX with a “sticky” call button was the key to converting mobile traffic.
- Building out 4 unique location pages allowed each restaurant to rank in its own local neighborhood.
